As both a committed volunteer, and patient, Zach is the External Relations Lead at the non-profit organisation Patient-Led Engagement for Access. His focus is to ensure patients come first within the ever expanding cannabis industry whilst recognising the importance of increasing engagement between the two.
Despite a 2018 schedule change allowing the prescribing of cannabis, patients are still faced with multiple barriers, including misinformation, stigma, and financial constraints, preventing access to a potentially life-changing medicine.
He is especially passionate about advocating for the right of patients to access cannabis-based medicinal products through mainstream healthcare and working to increase overall awareness of its availability.
