Stephen Murphy is the Founder and CEO of  Prohibition Partners, the leading global cannabis data, media and technology group focused on the development of regulated cannabis markets globally. Since founding the company in 2017, he has worked closely with policymakers, investors, operators and healthcare leaders to support the growth of the international cannabis sector, particularly across Europe.

Prohibition Partners has built some of the industry’s most recognised platforms, including  Business of Cannabis and Cannabis Europa, helping connect global decision makers through market intelligence, strategic advisory, media and events. The company’s research and data products are widely used by businesses, investors and institutions navigating emerging cannabis markets.

Alongside Prohibition Partners, Stephen has founded, invested in and advised a number of companies operating across cannabis, life sciences and healthcare, including as co-founder of Lyphe Group and Shortwave Life Sciences. His work focuses on market strategy, communications and business development within highly regulated industries.
