Simon Tordoff

Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, Cb1 Medical

Dr Simon Tordoff graduated at the Medical School of the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 1980. He worked there for six years before moving to the UK in 1987 where he obtained Fellowships at the Royal College of Anaesthesia and the Faculty of Pain Medicine. He completed a fellowship year in chronic pain management at Flinders University in Adelaide in 1992. He was awarded the Fellowship in Interventional Pain Procedures by the World Institute of Pain in 2002.

He has worked in Pain Medicine for the past 33 years. He initially worked in Northampton, and thereafter at the Leicester University Hospitals where part of this work was at the LOROS Hospice. He has worked for the past ten years in the Spinal Unit of the Royal Derby Hospital.

He has been prescribing cannabis based medicinal products for the past three years. He was involved in the establishment of the CB1 Medical clinic in Leicester where he is currently the lead clinician for Pain Management.
