Prof Barnes is a neurologist and cannabis expert. He facilitated the first uk prescription of cannabis. He started, with Hannah Deacon, the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society and was the first chair of the Cannabis Industry Council. He now runs Maple Tree Medical Cannabis Consultancy.
