Speaking on The Role of International Standards
Louis Fredricks supports ASTM International efforts to promote the global relevance and importance of ASTM standards and services, providing strategic insights on international markets including Europe. Prior to working with ASTM International, Louis served the United States Department of Commerce at the U.S. Mission to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium as the regional expert on EU product certification requirements and standardization policy. Originally from Grand Haven, Michigan, Louis has a Master of Arts in European Studies from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, a Graduate Certificate in International Relations from Boston University, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Political Science from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. He speaks English, Spanish and French.
