Kate Spicer is an author, freelance journalist, documentary maker and, occasionally, editorial and story consultant, working in all areas of lifestyle: reporting from popular culture on subjects including, food, wine, social trends, drugs, sex, art, relationships, fashion, spirituality, health, fitness and celebrity.
She works largely for broadsheet newspapers – Sunday Times, Financial Times, LA Times and Daily Telegraph, and the Daily Mail. She’s also made four documentaries, three for Channel 4 and one indie, which had an International cinema release. Mission to Lars received widespread critical acclaim here and abroad. I have appeared on various radio and TV shows, including Masterchef.
Kate has also published books and am currently working on her third. Lost Dog came out in 2019. She also helped Gary Barlow with his extraordinarily truthful autobiography, A Better Me. Both books were Sunday Times bestsellers. Lost Dog (published by Penguin in 2019) is currently being made into a film by Netflix.
