José holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Master’s in Public Health, and has spent the past 18 years working across various departments in the pharmaceutical sector. His experience includes Regulatory Affairs and Market Access, involving pricing and reimbursement processes, and most recently, senior international roles in Medical Affairs where he coordinated teams responsible for medical information, clinical research, and educational initiatives.
He has completed a Talent Program at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, focusing on leadership, the pharmaceutical business landscape, and business metrics, as well as a Leadership Development Program at INSEAD Business School, with an emphasis on business strategy, the pharmaceutical environment, and finance.
Currently at Tilray Medical, José oversees and ensures the scientific accuracy of the company’s promotional activities, particularly in interactions with patients, healthcare professionals, regulators, and policymakers. He also contributes to clinical study development in collaboration with academic and research institutions, helping to advance the understanding of the therapeutic benefits of cannabis-based medicinal products.
