Jillian Deutsch

Jillian is a health reporter with POLITICO Europe based in Brussels. She joined the publication in 2017 as a web producer before joining the health care policy team.

Jillian has a passion for showing how policies affect people. She has written for Poynter; been a correspondent for USA Today College; reported for daily newspapers in Missouri and New York; and edited The Riveter, a women’s magazine in Minneapolis. She taught English in Paris.

Jillian attended the University of Missouri, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism and focused on gender studies.
