Dr. Jean Claude Scicluna

Since graduating in medicine and pain management, Jean Claude has dedicated himself to pioneering plant medicine. He is the founder of Malta Cannabis Clinic, the first cannabinoid specialist clinic in his native Malta. In the past years he’s been reading for a neuroscience PhD at the University of Malta, whilst conducting research activities focussed on the therapeutic applications of the endocannabinoid system. He currently holds an official position at Authority for Responsible Cannabis Use, the Maltese government institution which drafted and oversees the first legal cannabis framework in the EU, after the groundbreaking legislation in 2021. He is a medtech doctorpreneur, and manifests his scientific vision at Cellotex, a Tel Aviv based startup aimed at providing the technology required for the plant medicine revolution.
