‘Europe has the frameworks, the science, and the will — but patients are still paying the price of fragmentation.’
Speaking on Policy
Carola Pérez is a patient advocate, international speaker, and We, The Patients director, an initiative built by and for patients to advance accessible, evidence-based education on medical cannabis and chronic conditions.
Founder of Dosemociones — the first patient association in Spain to campaign for medical cannabis legislation — and of the Spanish Observatory for Medical Cannabis, she has spent years embedding patient voices into national and European policy.
Her work is rooted in lived experience with severe neuropathic pain, taking her from testifying before the Spanish Parliament to contributing to the Manifesto for Global Access to Cannabinoid Therapies, published in Forbes to coincide with the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs session in Vienna.
One clear purpose: that no patient feels unheard or without access to safe and effective treatment.
