Arjan Roskam is one of the most recognised figures in the global cannabis industry, with a career spanning over four decades in genetics, cultivation, and medical cannabis development. He founded Green House Seed Co. in 1985, going on to win 42 High Times Cannabis Cups and develop more than 195 proprietary cannabis varieties. Through the Strain Hunters documentary series, he led ten international expeditions across four continents to document and preserve endangered landrace genetics, reaching over 100 million viewers worldwide. Arjan was among the first to enter the medical cannabis space, funding SIMM, one of Europe’s earliest licensed medical cannabis suppliers, and later collaborating on licensed pharmaceutical cannabis production in Switzerland and Canada. Today, he leads Green House Energrow in Mukdahan, Thailand, an 18,000m2 EU GACP-compliant cultivation facility supplying pharmaceutical-grade cannabis flos to regulated markets in Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia, through partners Lexamed GmbH, Hologram Health, and Australian Cannabis Group. EU GMP certification is expected in 2026.
