Alana Byrd

As a dual national of both the US and UK, Alana has been witness to infrastructural violence and its manifestations in both societies. She is in pursuit of a PhD in Anthropology at UCL to be able to effectively research the impacts of these manifestations. Her lived experience working in property management provides skills that means she recognises the importance of communication with clarity and consciousness when interacting with institutions and the people they seek to govern. She intends on being active in Unjust’s endeavours to make true impact in the lives of those affected by systemic dysfunctions and prejudices in UK law.
