Sony Gokhale

Sony Gokhale, BBA, LLB, is the General Counsel of The Supreme Cannabis Company, Inc.  where she is responsible for overseeing and identifying the legal issues in all company departments and business units and their interrelation, including strategic investments, marketing, sales, distribution, finance, human resources and regulatory compliance, as well as corporate governance and business policy. Ms. Gokhale’s previous practice included advising on general corporate and commercial matters with a focus on assisting regulated and non-regulated companies with the launch of new products and services in the Canadian market. Additionally, Ms. Gokhale has provided ongoing advice to leading Canadian and international companies on strategic commercial contracting issues. Prior to joining The Supreme Cannabis Company, Inc. Ms. Gokhale was a senior member of the Commercial and Technology group at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, LLP in Toronto, Ontario where she advised on general corporate and commercial matters with a focus on technology, outsourcing, consumer protection, privacy, e-commerce and procurement and licensing of technology products and services. Ms. Gokhale was also legal counsel at BlackBerry where she negotiated various complex offshore service and distribution agreements in countries such as: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
