The first English Panel of February’s Cannabis Europa will include CEOs from medical cannabis companies from around the world discuss the expected impact of the latest developments in the industry.

CHAIR: George McBride

George McBride is a former commercial barrister turned cannabis reform advocate and industry consultant based in London, UK. George was part of the founding team who setup Volteface, the UK’s leading think tank driving the debate around cannabis reform.

He’s also a co-founder and CEO of Hanway Associates, London’s global cannabis consultancy; a team of creatives, consultants and academics. They consult, connect and communicate to bridge the gaps between industry, academia and policymakers.

He started his professional career in cannabis policy at the Beckley Foundation, a pioneering think tank driving research into the medical applications of cannabis and the psychedelics.

Rick Brar

Rick Brar is the CEO of Zenabis, a licensed cannabis producer in Canada. Rick is an experienced business leader in the cannabis, nutraceutical, beverage, agriculture, and land development businesses.

He is experienced in sales and marketing, with demonstrated success in corporate sales growth, new market penetration, new product development, and long range planning. Rick also has international expertise in emerging markets, having incubated and grown several companies over his career.

Ben became involved in the cannabis industry after finding its therapeutic effects in treatment following being seriously injured in a car accident in 2006.
Ben has brought his personal experience with cannabis and unique international career in business to Wayland, leading all facets of the company’s operations, including strategic direction and execution.


Ben has built Wayland into one of the most recognisable international medical cannabis companies in the world, fulfilling his passion to enhance lives through cannabis, one patient at a time.

Antonio Costanzo

Antonio Costanzo is the CEO and co-founder of EMMAC Life Sciences, a UK medical cannabis company. Before EMMAC, Antonio was Head of International Development at Nuuvera, a publicly- listed Canadian cannabis corporation.

Prior to focusing on the cannabis industry, he was Head of Public Policy and Government Relations at Uber. He formerly spent 10 years in the online gaming industry, at bwin, as Director of International development and Regulatory Affairs.
